MEET “THE CAKEMOM”

Hello! My name is Aliha. I am lucky to have been blessed with the best family and careers in the whole world! I have been teaching full time for over 20 years, and love my job teaching and creating memories with children every day! I have always loved crafts, baking, and cooking, but it wasn’t until 2014 that I discovered my true passion for creating truly memorable cakes.   I started by taking the Basic Wilton Cake Decorating courses at Michael’s, in hopes to enjoy a girl’s night out with a friend and maybe be able to make my daughter’s next birthday cake.   My skills grew as quickly as did my love for the craft. I went from baking for co-workers and family birthdays to eventually taking the leap into baking as a part-time career.

CakeMom Custom Cakes, is named after my 2 passions-cake and being a mom.  My children are my daily motivation.  Being a mom is everything to me!  When I’m not teaching, baking, or watching cake decorating videos on YouTube, I enjoy spending time with my husband and two beautiful children. I love baking and cooking with my daughter, traveling, Zumba, and finding great bargains. I look forward to opening my own cake studio where I can teach others how to create amazing cakes.  Teacher by day and mom, wife and cake designer by night, my life is sometimes crazy busy, but always crazy good!
